Our Employee Counselling Service offers small to medium-sized businesses across the United Kingdom an accessible, professional and fully confidential way to support their people.

Partnering with Thrive Scotland demonstrates a clear commitment to employee wellbeing. It sends a powerful message: your people matter.
How It Works
Employers pay a simple, nominal annual retainer to secure priority access to counselling services for their team. This ensures your employees can access timely, professional support when they need it most.

Before commencing a retainer contract, employers agree the number of counselling sessions their employees will be entitled to access. This provides clarity around provision while ensuring meaningful support is available when required.

Employees access the service through a secure contact link. Following an initial enquiry, they are carefully matched with one of our qualified and experienced associate counsellors, ensuring the right fit and specialist support. Counselling sessions utilised are invoiced monthly based on usage, with a straightforward 30-day payment window.
100% Confidential
Confidentiality is at the heart of our service. All counselling sessions are completely private. No details of attendance, discussion content or outcomes are ever shared with employers. This creates a safe, trusted space where employees can speak openly and seek meaningful support.
Supporting the Whole Person
Counselling sessions can be used to work through workplace challenges such as:
-
Work-related stress and burnout
-
Conflict with colleagues or managers
-
Performance anxiety
-
Change, restructuring or redundancy concerns
-
Managing workload or boundaries
Sessions can also support employees with personal or life concerns that may affect them both in and out of work, including:
-
Anxiety and low mood
-
Relationship difficulties
-
Bereavement and loss
-
Family pressures
-
Confidence and self-esteem
By supporting employees as whole people — not just as members of staff — businesses benefit from reduced absence, improved morale, stronger retention and a healthier workplace culture.

Continuing Support
If an employee wishes to continue counselling after their funded sessions have ended, they are welcome to do so on a self-funded basis, subject to counsellor availability. This allows individuals to maintain continuity and continue their therapeutic journey if they feel it would be beneficial.
